The LSJ has been teaching creative writing for three generations, and continues to lead the way in the development of teaching methods which produce successful results for our students.  We may be best known for our journalism courses but many of our students are involved in other areas - short fiction, novels, children's fiction, poetry, cartooning and our various English courses form an equally important part of our activity.

Our distance learning courses cover all aspects of journalism and creative writing, as well as Use of English, History and English Literature. Home study students have the benefit of real-time online lectures and a bulletin board for student contact, and those who wish to visit the school in London may attend general interest tutorial lectures at no additional charge.

Our students come from all over the world -  around 75% from within the EU, 10% from North America and Australasia, and the remaining 15% from a hundred different countries! Many use our 'online' course delivery so that all their work and assignments are delivered safely by email.
